On the weekend we were stoked to hang out for the afternoon with Ashlee & Rhys – who came and buried their toes in the sand with us for this rad engagement session at the beach.

Since Rhys is in the Navy, and a keen fisherman, doing their photos at the beach totally made sense – we were lucky to get some stunning light and a bit of sunset too.

These guys were SO ridiculously natural in front of the camera, we hardly needed to do anything at all!

One of the best things about doing an ‘engagement shoot’ (besides the fact you get beautiful photos to keep) is that you get a practise run at what it feels like having a photo shoot, we can hang out & get to know each other. That way – once the wedding rolls around it’s so easy on the day, just like having friends with cameras there with you 🙂
