April and Darren were married in the cutest little church – the Woombye Wedding Chapel – followed by their reception up at Montville, at the Poet’s Cafe.

They were blessed with the most stunning weather, crisp autumn air and sunny blue skies – perfect lighting for a Hinterlands wedding!

In the morning, they each got ready with their respective bridesmaids & groomsmen – we split up (the benefits of having two photographers!) to capture what was going on at each of the houses. April was lucky to have a bridesmaid who also happens to be an amazing wedding dress designer ( shoutout Marilyn Crystelle bridal 🙌🏼) who made the wedding gown, and was naturally on hand to ensure it fit perfectly!

Then it was off to the chapel in Woombye, where they were married in front of their closest friends & family.

We had a bit of time in between leaving the chapel and being due up in Montville for the wedding reception – so they decided to have a little picnic at a nearby park. Props to their bridal party, who put together the most epic, next-level picnic setup – complete with throws, cushions, and a delicious grazing table spread.

After a few quick photos in the lush greenery and ferns, we headed up the range – stopping by these stunning yellow flowers, which apparently only flower for about 2 weeks of the year – perfect timing guys!

We wrapped up the photos in a nearby field, shooting right through until the light faded completely (which at this time of year is like 5pm, haha!).

The reception was under the Poet’s Cafe – at The Chapel Montville – where they danced the night away (and we witnessed one of the most competitive bouquet tosses yet – someone’s ready to get married!!).
