Q. What happens when you invite 85 of your closest friends & family to make the journey up to Port Douglas, to share in your wedding day, and enjoy a tropical respite from the cold spring weather???

A. One. Epic. Party.

Josh & Lachlan were married in a stunning ceremony on the beachfront at Little Cove, Port Douglas.

In a sweet, heartfelt ceremony led by their celebrant Anna – their guests shared joy, laughter, and tears with them as they sealed the deal and made things official!
Luckily, some clouds rolled over right at the beginning of the ceremony – meaning we had lovely soft light all the way through – couldn’t have asked for better.

Afterwards, we headed out for a short photo session nearby – making the most of some beautiful lush rainforest green – before arriving back at the Sugar Wharf just before sunset.

With a huge cheer, they were welcomed back into the reception – where everyone partied all night under the open skies.

I love the Sugar Wharf at night – with tables lined up along the end of the deck, the cool ocean breeze blowing, and the lanterns above giving their soft glow. It’s such a beautiful, romantic setting for a wedding reception!

It was such a great party – the food was delicious, the speeches heartfelt and honest, the MC duo were hilarious, and the dancing continued long into the night, with one of the most packed Sugar Wharf dancefloors I’ve seen.
