Apparently, it took a little convincing on Clara’s part to get her parents on board with hosting 100 guests on the back lawn of their property up in Cow Bay, in the Daintree. After pulling off such an amazing event, I’m sure they’ll be glad they said yes!!

This was one of the most stunning settings for a wedding day you could hope for – with a ceremony tucked away in the bush, and then the views from the reception stretching out over the rainforest – with the warm glow of afternoon sunlight wrapping everyone in beautiful golden light.

In their beautiful ceremony led by Anna – it was apparent that being in nature was something they both really enjoyed – so it made the setting even more special. Afterwards, we headed down to the creek for some photos – a place where Clara & Chris have both spent lots of time. It’s really special to be able to create new memories on your wedding day, in a location that is already close to your heart.

Down by the creek, a couple of kids had recently lit their campfire – and as the smoke drifted through the trees it created beautiful rays of gold as the sunlight filtered through.

They arrived back at the reception and kicked off the proceedings with their first dance – and then it was time to party!
Chris had set up a canopy of LED lanterns over the lawn – and just as the dusky sunset faded into twilight – we took the chance to capture a cool image with Chris & Clara underneath the lights.

Just before I headed home, we made the most of the clear, crisp skies overhead with a star photo to wrap things up.
