Port Douglas wedding photographers | Salsa Port Douglas wedding venue | St. Marys By The Sea wedding chapel
Monica & Glenn have been waiting so patiently for their epic party … Covid & lockdowns threw a spanner in the works last year, and they decided to postpone until March.
Luckily avoiding a tropical cyclone that breezed through the week before, the wedding day was perfect!
Their ceremony was at the picture perfect St. Marys By The Sea chapel – and afterwards we wandered over to Rex Smeal park with the bridal party. To our amazement, it was deserted (this NEVER happens!) and we had the entire park to ourselves. We followed this up with a bit of brave rock-hopping over at Little Cove (not really heels terrain) – and a few photos on the rocks & beach to wrap up.
Then it was back to Salsa for an evening of glorious food, delicious cocktails, heartfelt speeches, donuts, and dancefloor action!
Pretty much the entire guestlist had traveled up from Melbourne – and after a long year of lockdowns and social distancing, everyone was set and ready to PARTY!
It’s one of my favourite parts of a wedding, and the reason we don’t usually do “timed” packages … the whole idea of full day coverage is being able to hang around and catch those dancefloor antics once things heat up late in the evening.
