{ Trinity Beach Palace wedding photos | Same sex wedding Cairns | Travis + Andrew }
Meeting with Travis & Andrew over a beer one evening, they told us about their plans for getting married at Trinity Beach Palace – and we knew we REALLY wanted to be there to capture it. Everything sounded amazing – the location, their vision for the day, and the experience they wanted to create for their guests.
Fast-forward a few months – and it was everything we wished for, and more!
(note : I was planning to keep the political debate around same-sex marriage out of this post… but seriously. I challenge anyone to come along, witness a day like this with so much love, so much emotion, two families and plenty of friends all there in full support – and tell me that ISN’T a wedding. As a kiwi myself, we’ve been lucky enough to have this in law for a while now – come on Australia, 2017 is waiting for you.)
Travis & Andrew, along with their little puppy Charlie Brown, were married with their toes in the sand – in a beautiful ceremony led by Aphrodite Anderson.
They really wanted the day to be centred around the guests, keeping formalities to a minimum, food quality to a maximum, and an amazing party for everyone involved.
Trinity Beach Palace is one of my favourite wedding venues in Cairns – decked out with festoon lights, next-level food from Chriso the Personal Chef, and Bedford Bar keeping the drinks flowing – the stage was set for epicness.
But it’s the people that make a wedding. The sheer amount of love, hugs, smiles, and good vibes lifted everything from a “well styled party” to one of my favourite weddings, hands down, ever.
This is just a tiny sneak preview of the day – there’s more than 500 photos still to follow. So for now – kick back & enjoy this taster.
Don’t forget – if you like what you see – we photograph weddings Australia wide (and anywhere else in the world, too).
Hope you’ve enjoyed Travis & Andrew’s Trinity Beach Palace wedding photos – we certainly enjoyed capturing them!
