Amy and Andrew had the most epic beachfront wedding day. Right on the front lawn of their family beach house, surrounded by family & friends.
It’s long been our philosophy that a wedding “should be a party not a performance” … and these guys fit the bill perfectly. Meeting up earlier in the day, they got their bridal party photos done & dusted – meaning that the remainder of the afternoon could be spent with hanging out with the guests.
There were lawn games, plenty of sunshine, an amazing band, and plenty of solid dance floor antics!
As the afternoon faded into dusk, we sneaked a few moments outside in the golden twilight. It’s always a nice little break too – taking a few moments for yourselves in the midst of the reception and soaking it all in.
Amazingly, after a day of full sunshine, the evening turned to rain. Of course, this didn’t bother the party one little bit – things were getting hectic!
However, it was a good little opportunity to duck outside into the rain for an epic night shot … stoked that we have clients that trust us when we say “guys… we have this idea… you WILL get a bit wet but it’ll be totally worth it!”
Here’s a little preview of the day – enjoy 🙂 If you’re planning a wedding in Cairns, Port Douglas, or anywhere… get in touch. We love to involve ourselves in the day – just like being photographed by your mates. Less posing, more partying! If this sounds like you – let’s chat!
Can’t wait to be back in Cairns again soon to photograph a bunch more weddings – 2018 is going to be an epic year!
