Cairns wedding photographer | Super romantic proposal

As a wedding photographer, you get special access to some pretty amazing moments.

Things like hanging out with the bride all morning of the wedding day … being there the first time Dad sees her in her wedding dress… being there for those lovely sweet intimate moments when it’s just the bride & groom together on the location shoot.

But this – this takes it up a notch.

Being there to witness the actual moment he pops the question and asks her to marry him??? That’s priceless.

Jayson put together a pretty intricate plan to propose to Sacha – complete with a video he made specially for her, and got her to watch on the iPad as the leadup for his proposal.

Our only problem was figuring out how to be stealthy enough to be present on an otherwise abandoned beach, with some big ass cameras, and not look suspicious!
So I ended up doing a “photoshoot” of Amy – she was busting out some yoga poses, popping handstands & split jumps as they came down onto the beach to sit down for a picnic… and at that point, we decided to relocate and shoot some more #yogalife in the dunes nearby… which gave us a good vantage point to capture the proposal going down.

Afterwards, we did a quick 10 minute shoot on the beach, before Jayson whisked Sacha off to a family lunch he had also secretly organized – and we were waiting there as well, to capture the moment when Sach told her mum they were getting married – Mum had no idea!
