Daintree Ecolodge wedding photos | Elopement wedding photographer
Caitlin and Mark decided to elope in the beautiful Daintree Rainforest in tropical North Queensland. The Daintree Ecolodge is a perfect elopement wedding option – stunning accommodation in the heart of the lush rainforest, and a ceremony option overlooking a waterfall. I met them down by the restaurant, and then Mark made a headstart up to the waterfall platform. I joined Caitlin for her walk through the bush (about 10 minutes climbing a beautiful rainforest track, but in a wedding dress!).
Their ceremony was officiated by Port Douglas celebrant Sarah Woods – I loved the way they held hands and vow cards at the same time. Topped off with a sweeping, romantic first kiss – they were married.
After a glass of bubbles and relaxing to soak in the moment, we headed off for some wedding photos.
Making our way back down the waterfall track towards the Ecolodge, we stopped for a few shots in the rainforest – before eventually hopping in the cars for a short drive. All the wedding photography in this post was within a 15 minute drive of the Daintree Ecolodge – really capturing that ‘rainforest meets the reef’ vibe. We caught the Daintree River in the background, along with some sugar cane fields. Wrapping things up, we arrived at the beach just on sunset. The low tide made for some cool little sand islands and reflections in the water.
Here’s a few of my fav images from their elopement wedding day – enjoy!
