Emily & Josh were married at Lakeside Retreat near Port Douglas – in one of the most epic wedding celebrations you could ask for!

They decided to leave the cold Sydney winter for an incredible destination wedding in the tropics – and you can bet that all their guests were keen for the trip and to come party with them.

Throw in a few date changes thanks to Covid, and it was even more hotly anticipated to see these two make it official.

Lakeside Retreat has two entirely separate buildings, which makes it perfect to have your whole crew getting ready on site … boys in one house, girls in the other.

After the ceremony we headed down the road to Thala Beach for a few photos amongst the coconut trees – and then it was back to kick off the party.

When you have a tambourine taped to the underside of every guests seat (complete with permanent marker inscription of ‘BANG ME’ … you know the night is going to be insane. Throw in a trumpet playing party hype man keeping the dancefloor pumping – you have every ingredient for the best. night. ever.
