Priya & Daniel were married at Malanda Lodge – a gorgeous wedding venue tucked away in the beautiful farmland of the Tablelands.

We had the full spectrum of weather thrown at us throughout the day – but Priya and Daniel totally took it all in their stride 🙌🏼

This is just a little sneak preview of some of the images from the day – kick back and enjoy!

 

About 10 minutes into the ceremony, the rain started to fall … and then got a bit harder … and then it was really RAINING.
The guests made a dash for the shelter of the reception venue, and the awesome Malanda Lodge team started rolling out some delish canapes.

 

Priya and Daniel decided to give it a few minutes, just to see if the passing shower would clear up & they could resume things. I love this shot of them just waiting under the arbour, with their ceremony setup in the background.

When it became clear that the rain wasn’t going away in a hurry, I figured we may as well take the silver lining on offer… an epic rain photo.
I quickly grabbed my lights from the car, and set up this shot. It’s the only time I’ve ever done a rain shot in the middle of the ceremony, haha!
Love the way the light pops the rain out in the background.

After 30 minutes – the skies had cleared again, and everyone headed back out to the lawn, where the ceremony picked up exactly where it had left off.

After a day of battling the rain, it was amazing to see the clouds part late in the afternoon & some beautiful golden light come bursting through. The rolling hills of the Malanda countryside make for the most spectacular backdrop.

Priya & Daniel changed into traditional Indian outfits for the reception, super cool!

This tree out on the ceremony lawn was decked in fairy lights – making for a magical outdoor dancefloor 😍

Late into the night, that pesky rain made a re-appearance … but that just meant I could capture some epic backlit rain dancefloor photos as the wedding crew partied on under the falling raindrops.
