I was super excited to hear that Nicole & Sascha were getting married in the ultra cute chapel – St. Marys by the Sea – in Port Douglas.
I’ve photographed many weddings in and around Port – but this was my very first time shooting in the church here, and it’s every bit as cute inside as it looks from the outside!

In the morning, Patty & I headed off to capture some shots of the wedding preparations – the boys at the Regal, and the girls in the stunning Niramaya Villas.
It was a super chill, relaxed vibe – surrounded by their closest friends & family. I loved the stone feature walls in the villas – made for a beautiful backdrop for photos.

After a gorgeous ceremony in the St. Marys by the Sea chapel, and a few quick group photos outside the church, it was time to head off for some wedding photos around Port Douglas. Our first priority was to find a bit of shade – as it was a super hot, bright, sunny day!
After a few photos in a block of cool, green forest – we headed down to the beach & the rocks, and as the afternoon light took on that soft, golden feel – we had perfect conditions for some beautiful images.

Back at the Sugar Wharf – the party kicked off – we loved the laid back, relaxed cocktail styling – with delicious grazing table & rolling food throughout the evening. With plenty of dancing, some hilarious speeches, and the classic Australian shoe-y all in the mix, it was definitely an epic night!!
