Tim & Cassie were married at The Rocks Yandina in a gorgeous, intimate setting that they shared with their closest friends and family.

We caught up with them earlier in the morning at the Eumundi Dairy, where they both got ready for their wedding day. Eumundi Dairy is a stunning setting, perfect for the rural vibes and rustic styling that Tim & Cassie picked for their wedding.

Once they were wedding-ready, they met one another in a ‘first look’ underneath the huge tree. First looks are such a great way to ease the pre-wedding nerves – once you have seen each other and spent time together, then the ceremony seems much less daunting! Plus, it means that after the wedding, you can spend your time hanging out with your guests, rather than leaving them hanging for a while as you go off to take photos.

After some photos around the grounds of the Eumundi Dairy, we headed off to The Rocks Yandina, where their wedding ceremony took place.

Nestled by the water’s edge, on a huge property – The Rocks Yandina is a beautiful location for a wedding on the Sunshine Coast. We particularly loved the way the golden sunlight streams through the gum trees late in the afternoon.

Tim’s uncle is a priest, so it was really special that he was able to officiate their wedding ceremony. Joined by two of their closest friends, and their two beautiful dogs – they were married on the little platform in the warm afternoon sunlight.

They kept their wedding day small and intimate – and then 2 days after the wedding, invited everyone around to their home for a big party – giving their wider group of friends & family the chance to party with them! I headed along to capture the evening as it unfolded.

While the wedding day weather held out perfectly… the party at their house was accompanied by rain! This didn’t dampen their spirits one bit though, and the bonfire in the brazier kept burning strong! As the rain fell, I managed to convince Tim & Cassie (who were also then joined by a queue of guests wanting their own rain shot!) to come out for a photo-geek play in the rain. I love the way the backlighting from the flash makes the raindrops and smoke pop out – and every now and then, a burst of sparks from the fire lit up in front too!
