Thala Beach Engagement Shoot – Carla & Isaac

This weekend, we caught up with Carla & Isaac for their engagement session.

When we first met up, they filled us in on their (freakin awesome!) engagement story – which happened at Thala Beach. So it was a perfect choice to head back there for their engagement session.

On the morning of the shoot, the clouds were rolling in over Cairns and the forecast looked pretty dire. We made the call to go ahead anyway & see what happened. The result was spectacular. After playing around in the trees, we headed down onto the beach at the very same exact spot that Isaac asked Carla to marry him.

We watched in the distance as the storm rolled in – and eventually, while we were up on the rocks – it caught up to us.
Chaos – this was some of the HEAVIEST rain I’ve ever photographed in – and within seconds, all of us were completely drenched.

Like total troopers, Carla & Isaac were keen to play around in the rain for a bit (hey – you can only get so wet, right?!) – and we wrapped up our shoot with some super epic rain shots.

This is just a little preview of how their photos are looking – we can’t wait to photograph the wedding next year!!
